Sound Designers create connections with an audience through sound. You’ll manipulate audio elements, creating sonic effects to enrich communication. Sound Designers have the opportunity to work and become stars in music, film, television, advertising, live events, video games and even medical fields. You’ll create and refine sounds using everything from advanced digital equipment to the snap of your fingers next to a microphone. A Sound Designer’s job is to transform audio from something we hear to something we feel. From chirping birds to the giant explosions of an action film, anyone near a speaker will feel the impact of your expertise.
