job description

Animators are the illusionists of the art world. You’ll manipulate two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) images to create the illusion of movement. It’s best to start with formal training in illustration, then concentrate your skills to develop cartoons, feature films, TV commercials or video games. You’ll work with writers, directors, editors, actors and computer programmers. You can collaborate with a team or work alone, depending on the project. After years of perfecting their craft, Animators can be responsible for bringing to life the next Bart Simpson, Buzz Lightyear, or Halo’s Master Chief.
