Attorneys interpret and apply the law, give legal advice, draft court documents, and represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings. If you are competitive and self-disciplined, this is a career for you. You’ll examine past cases, interview clients, research facts and figures, and screen jurors. Be prepared to spend long hours working with a team of assistants and fellow attorneys, often on a few different cases at one time. You’ll need a logical mind and an assertive personality to stand out from your peers. Some attorneys move on to careers as politicians, agents, consultants, or even best-selling novelists.

Bachelor’s, with additional Law School degree, plus pass the Bar Exam


average salary

$50K-$100K entry level, with potential to earn much more based on experience, reputation and performance
