job description
A Biomedical Equipment Technician installs and repairs highly advanced life-saving tools—the computers that help monitor patients and keep people alive. Your day might start with routine maintenance of an EKG, ultrasound, or defibrillator machine, and end with an emergency repair to a heart-lung machine hooked up to a patient in critical condition. You’ll have to work well under pressure. Whether working inside a hospital or community clinic, or loading up an ambulance with new gadgets, your skills will be invaluable to doctors and nurses, as well as their patients and families.
