There’s no question that civilization and our modern industrialized world have taken their toll on our planet’s air, water and land. Addressing local and global issues, from a city’s water supply to acid rain and ozone layer depletion, Environmental Engineers are more necessary than ever. As a guardian of public health, you will combine natural science and engineering to reduce air and water pollution, assess recycling efforts, and find safe ways to dispose of hazardous waste. Everyone on our planet has a right to healthy water, air and land. As an Environmental Engineer, it will be your job to make sure these rights are provided and protected.
