Finish School
Guest Blog: TeachStreet To Launch Test Prep Finder

The choice to go back to school can strike at any time. Often in an uncertain economic climate school becomes a seemingly more attractive option to those who are having limited success entering the workforce. In the past this was often limited to those without an undergraduate degree, now even those holding a four year degree sometimes find themselves having limited success in the job market. Therefore more and more people are making the choice to return to graduate school.

Unfortunately, making the choice to return is only the first step towards actually going back to school! Next comes picking which schools to apply to, finding letters of recommendation, filling out applications, writing admissions essays, and (horror of horrors) taking the GRE or GMAT, the two standardized tests used for admissions into most US graduate degree programs.

Preparing for the GRE or GMAT is an onerous task especially if you’ve been out of school for a while, and amongst the many who’ve headed back to school in this dismal economic climate many haven’t been in school for a number of years.

Get Schooled is focused on the high school to college conversion, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t care about graduate school students, too. In an effort to help out those preparing for the GRE or GMAT we found a great site that focuses on aggregating the best information on GRE or GMAT prep from across the web. Test Prep Finder is a TeachStreet property that caters specifically to prospective graduate and business school applicants.

Coming February 23, 2010 TeachStreet will roll out the first build of its new Test Prep Finder site featuring a study plan calculator, class finder, robust test prep blog directory, and partnerships with a number of leading test prep companies. So if you’re wondering how to start preparing for the GRE or GMAT or how to write an excellent admissions essay check them out. Also, if you want to ask questions and get a response from real test prep experts try out the TeachStreet Q&A page to find answers to questions like “How long before the GRE test should I start studying?” (Answer: 2-3 months).
