job description

Make the world a brighter place. At events such as weddings, awards shows, and charity galas, as well as productions in theatre, television, film and live concerts, a Lighting Designer uses light to create all kinds of dramatic and subtle effects. On the event side, you’ll work with producers and event planners to create just the right mood for an enchanted evening. If you focus on the entertainment world, you’ll work with directors and set designers to create the desired look for a scene or performance. More than just pointing a spotlight at someone, being great at this job takes an artful eye and a lot of hands-on experience.
