Pilots travel all over the world faster than the speed of sound, and they also have a lot of responsibility. You’ll analyze flight plans, weather reports, passenger information and technical data to make sure everything is safe for takeoff. You’ll communicate with air traffic control and work with flight attendants in flight to make sure everything runs smoothly. Discipline and a rigorous attention to detail are key tools for any Pilot, as many people will put their trust in your hands. You can learn to become a professional Pilot in college, or, if you are trained in the military, you could end up at the controls of Air Force One some day.
education requirements
Bachelor’s of Science with a major in Professional Pilot, or Military Training, or Certification from a Vocational School

Commercial Pilot: $30K entry level, with potential to earn up to $140K based on experience. Airline Pilot: $30K entry level, with potential to earn up to $200K with ten years experience
