Sports Agents are the movers and shakers at the center of some of the most high-profile deals in sports. You’ll negotiate with teams for player salaries and contracts, and lock down endorsement deals with marketing companies. You’ll need sharp instincts and persistence. You’ll have to make connections and stay tenacious if you want to bring home the big bucks. You’ll hustle day and night making tactical deals during the drafts, finding good fits for free agents, and signing contracts with the world’s largest brands, from sneakers to sports cars. Just don’t forget to work box seats for life into the agreement.


education requirements

Bachelor’s in Communications, Business or Journalism, Master’s or Law School for faster advancement


average salary

$400 per hour, plus 3-5% of a contract, with potential to earn more based on experience, reputation and client roster
