If you’re looking for ways to get involved in the fight for racial justice in the United States, making your voice heard by contacting your state and local elected officials is an easy, effective way to make a concrete difference. We’ll break down how to identify who your state and local elected officials are, how to contact them, and provide resources if you aren’t sure what to say or write.

Find your local and state elected officials on My Reps

The My Reps tool allows you to enter your zip code and find email and phone contacts for all the city, county, state, and federal officials that represent you!

See where your state and city are at on taking action to prevent police violence

Campaign Zero helps you learn who your elected representative officials are in addition to where they stand on key issues like racial justice, equity, and police violence.

Not sure what to say on the phone or in your email to your elected reps?

Before using a template or pre-populated email, you should always thoroughly review the demands it advocates for. Think about, for example, how similar or different they are from the demands being voiced by activists and organizers in your area. Always be sure to edit and add your own input where applicable.
